Special Day

August 12th is a special day in my history, as it's my Mom's birthday. She would have been 83 today, a very young 83, I would guess, if she had not been felled by a brain tumor.

She was quiet beautiful on her graduation day in 1948. The next year she married my Dad and 1 year after that, she had me. I remember her as a very lovely woman with no gile, a caring, giving person who always had a something delicous to share from her kitchen. Happy Birthday, Mom. It's hard to believe you've been gone for 24 years. I miss you more every day.

What a beautiful woman Margene. The apple certainly hasn't fallen far from the tree. Thinking of you today. Hugs.

I can see a strong resemblance.

Beautiful in every way.

It's my mom's birthday today too, she turns 78.
I will keep you in my thoughts.

Beautiful lady. A day of remembrance.

So much of who we become is shaped by our mothers. I'm so glad you had a kind and loving one.

You have her smile. I understand. So many things unsaid and moments not shared. Quite bittersweet. Hugs, Dear Friend, and happy birthday to your Mom.

You do her proud Margene! This is a lovely bio of her and like several others commented, you have her kind sweet nature.

a lovely birthday wish for a beautiful woman (from her beautiful daughter)!

Such a long time . . . What a lovely birthday tribute for your lovely mom. Thinking of you, especially, today. (My mom's name is Yvonne, too!)

Aw, I lost my mom in 1998 and I know exactly how you feel. She is beautiful :)
