Sending Lace Prayers

Every stitch was created with the prayers and healing thoughts. It is a gift to be able to give time, love of process, and a beautiful handmade creation to someone you love. My heart is full of thoughts for the recipient and grateful to hear she improves each day. From across the miles this is not all I can do, as I can continue to pray for her strength to return and for a continued healing.
Fountain Pen by Susan Lawrence, published in Interweave Knits Spring 2009 knit with Wollmeise Sockenwolle 80/20 Twin, Kornblume
Lovely thoughts to go along with a thoughtful gift of love.

That beautiful deep blue is reminiscent of the desert sky under which it was knit. I hope your friend continues to improve. The shawl is perfect.

The way your prayers are knit into the shawl makes the shawl even more beautiful. Your friend is sure to be comforted by your gift.

You have almost convinced me that prayer shawls are maybe something I could see myself knitting. I'm not sure that most of the people I know would really want one, but then again, I would certainly cherish it and find it comforting myself, so maybe I'm wrong. What are the reactions you get from (non-knitters)?

Very well said. You are a very compassionate lady doing good for others.
