Stormsovermtolumpus Summer left and fall arrived right on cue. The weather took a turn for the worse better the last couple of days. Instead of temperatures sitting around 10 degrees above normal (for what seemed like forever!),  the last couple of days have been 10 degrees below normal.  Severe storm warnings, high winds, and pouring rain have added up to a nice change.  Few of us are sad the summer of 2007 is over.

Beautifulsilverearringisaballofyarn After years of collecting jewelry it's curious as to why I wear the same few pieces day in and day out.  Earrings have always been my favorite jewelry item, but I switch back and forth with one or two pair during the week, that is until this pair arrived.  They are my (new) favorite pair of earrings and they have been worn every day this week.   Romi's design is so beautiful and I love the tangle of silver that mimics a ball of yarn.

Johoat20repeats There has been knitting this week...but everything, other than the scarf, has been growing rather slowly.  In an effort to feel there has been some progress on Jóhö, even as she goes on and on, I cast on the opposite end and knit a few rows. Theotherendofjohoitsallgrowing Both ends are the same and once the body is finished grafting must occur.  I'm not thrilled about this, but rather than beg, bribe or throw a fit cry to get someone else to do it for me, I will try it on my own. I'm a big grrl. I'm in charge of my knitting.  I just don't like to act like it at times. The body needs a few more inches and I will work on psyching myself up while I continue the knitting.  If all goes well this weekend I could be finishing up this process soon.

Speaking of process.  Did you hear Cara's news?  She'll be spending the next 6-7 months in the ultimate process.  Don't forget to give to her pet cause, Heifer International, and join in the Spin Out fun.  You could win some fabulous prizes (even if you don't spin you can win!) and Cara needs something to keep her mind off morning (all day) sickness.  Make her count those dollars!!

I love those first cool days of Autumn. A bit of blustery wind and rain make it all the more cozy.
Those new earrings you got from Romi are beautiful.

We've had a bit a fall weather here too but it will not last long as it's supposed to be hot and humid by the weekend.

The earrings are beautiful and Jóhö is coming along beautifully!

Maybe YOU are ready to say goodbye to summer but not me. Although, I'm looking forward to beautiful weather out there next week. Right? Right!

Not that I'm superstitious or anything, but you'd better edit "mourning" sickness to "morning" sickness. Check that -- apparently I AM superstitious. :)

Those earring are too cute!
Did you lose power on Tuesday night? We were out all night. And I got caught in the downpour at Settabello yesterday during lunch. Yikes.

I'm ready to kiss summer goodbye as well, but the weatherman says otherwise - heat and humidity this weekend. gah!

I've noticed the change here too. Even if the days are still hitting 100, last night it got into the 50's. YUMMY sleeping weather. You'll do fine grafting, and you'll love wearing her. She is so beautiful!

Glad your weather has turned....send some of that rain up towards Idaho, will you? I'm ready for fall weather, and boots and corderoy and WOOL clothing, although not for a while according to the weather guessers.

Joho will be done soon enough ... the earrings are absolutely elegant! Glad you are liking the weather... we have wind and smoke and I wish rain were on the horizon.

Those earrings are beautiful, and so is Joho.

A change in the weather can be an energy booster. Good luck finishing Joho. I know you can do the grafting.

my favorite earrings are a simple silver loop; elongated ; with a pearl dripping off the bottom.
and
you have the power of the kitchener; feel the power; use the power my friend

Ooh, those earrings are pretty!

Very cute earrings!

Smart casting on the other end of Joho.

Could you send some of that weather our way? It is still nasty hot here and still no rain. The poor trees are loosing their leaves way too early because of lack of rain.

The earrings are adorable.

I am sure you will do fine with the grafting.

Thanks Margene! I was just thinking about spin out this morning and feeling all neglectful!

I love those earrings. I think they would look lovely with my cable needle necklace. I have such finicky ears though. They don't like silver. Glad to see Joho is getting attention. I say send it to my mother and have her graft it. ;)

Great earrings!

I'm so happy you love them! They look great on your ears. :)

Those are some amazing earrings!

We've got some changing leaves and such, but I understand it will be in the 90s this weekend. Ugh!

I didn't know Romi made earrings! Cool. I have two of her shawl pins, though, and they are fantastic. :-)

Love those earrings! We had great weather for a week or two, then a burst of hot hot hot that should break tonight. I guess we just needed to check the air conditioning out again...

Yep! Fall fever is definitely makin' the rounds...

Blessings!

I'm ready for fall myself. Summer has been too hot this summer.

It's funny that you collect jewelry but only wear them the same 1-2 pairs. I love wearing all sorts of jewelry and rotate mine constantly. I do like the new earrings you purchased from Romi. Very nice!

Love the earrings! Romi has such fantastic designs. :) I found a silver yarn ball bead just like that when I was in NY, and wear it as a necklace on a silk cord.
