It was just too beautiful, the color of the sky Thursday morning and I had to stop and take yet another picture. This week has been warmer than last and the weekend holds promise of mostly sunny skies and warm days.

This is Thursday's pre-storm sky. Today we expect the high to be in the low 40s (record breaking cold) and measurable snow on the valley floor. Winter is reminding us it is on the doorstep.
Also, in honor of Bob, Sandy's f-i-l, I made my now world renowned Zen Apple Crisp . (I kid!) I made it last year to help drown my sorrows as I wasn't at Rhinebeck. This year I WILL BE at Rhinebeck. Maybe it will help someone else drown their sorrows. Enjoy!
Today it is blustery, raining and a chill is settling in. The leaves on the mountain aspens will not be this beautiful once the weekend is over, as we hear tell of 12+ inches of snow on the peaks. The extended summer season is over and fall has come roaring in with winter on its tail.
Yesterday morning the sunrise and blue sky were spectacular. The geese flew overhead as I stopped to take the picture. They were so noisy! The day started out so beautifully I had to share more pictures with you. The weather should be picture perfect all week. w00t!
The sky is very big here in Utah. It's a big part of my life and I must admit to being a big sky watcher.
