A friend who is moving away gave us one of her yard ornaments, which now hangs on the patio and brighten my day. I can't help but smile each time I see it from the kitchen window. Its shadow graces the wall in the early morning light, which adds another delight to my day. I am very, very ready for spring to arrive with her blue skies and warmer days (I can't repeat it often enough).
The week ahead promises some fun, plus it ends well with a four day weekend, which starts on Thursday. Plans are in the development stage, but the ideas are stacking up and it looks like the weekend will be a full and happy one.
Hopefully, I'll keep my camera in hand and will think of the blog from time to time. I want to share! My blog brain has been left behind too often and if I still want to do this (and I do), I need to be prepared, right?

Oh, Margene! I have that very same garden sunshine in my own yard! I love it! It's wonderful for catching the sun and making shadows. (And now, it'll make me think of you, too.)

Is that the key? Remembering? Then, I'm toast. I love your new garden ornament. A lovely reminder of a friend and a delight in the morning. Spring is slogging here, but taking her sweet time. Happy Monday!!!!

I wish my blog brain was more stimulated too! And what joy you will get from your friend's ornament. I've got a little porcelain bird from my long time neighbor who passed away and I treasure it so!

Great decorative piece for your patio! You get enjoyment from the object, the shadow and the thoughts about your friend. Hope you enjoy your 4 day weekend. I work at a University that is on spring break this week, and I'm taking 3 days off mid-week for a mini-vacation in Maine. It won't be great beach weather (LOL), but weather should be good 2 of the days for outside activities, and we'll be near Portland for museums, shopping (yarn store, maybe?) and great restaurants when we don't want to be outside. Can't wait!

Love the new yard art!!! I just mentioned Colorado blue skiies with respect to Neuro's new socks. Hope you saw them today. You can debate whether their more Utah blue... :^)
Have a great short week and long weekend. Look forward to your photos...you do a fine job taking us with you on your jaunts!

I hope it's a wonderful, festive and warm week for you, my friend. If I could send you all the spring I will be suffering through, I would do it in a heartbeat. I'm already sunburnt and cranky.
