July 1st was a bit of a hazy day, as many of our days have been, although the air is full of smoke rather than haze. The fires surrounding the SLC valley have not been as devastating as the fires in Colorado, nor have they been as rampant. We have been fortunate.
The poor Sky Skarf does not appear to be quite so lucky as it has become a caricature of itself. It is only about 16" long, as more ends than beginnings, and it will never grow up to be more than a schmatta. It's okay, however, as it's a sampler of the 2012 sky and that means it will always be dear to me.
Hey, it's Monday.

I love it! It's a beautiful "journal" of your sky.

I think you aren't giving your little sky scarf enough credit. I still believe it's going to be awesome.

I see your temps promise to be horrible this week. Glad the fires are not like Colorado.
There is always room in one's life for a schmatta. They tend to get worn more often, as they are not as precious.

It's hazy here on this Monday morning, but it will quickly burn off and give way to sunshine. Our temps will be rising all week, though hopefully not as blisteringly high as last week. I can't wait to get my electric bill. ;)

Perhaps a babushka for windy days? Just to let you know, Millie became Milton. O.o Despite being a sex-linked chicken. He just slipped through.

I like your Sky Scarf, whatever it ends up being. :)

I still think we need some orange for these 100+ days. I think we'll have more of them this year than I can ever remember having.

It is a special project all the same! I might hang mine on the wall when I'm done. I have enjoyed the skywatching the most.
