The minute I started the border of Haruni I tried to conjure the spirit of the Queen of the Last Inch. She often finishes a project with inches to spare. Sadly, I do not have her powers and her force was not with me. I swear, only Susan has the touch.
Luckily, someone on Ravelry was willing to part with a partial skein and, as soon as it arrives, I'll be able finish the last four rows, along with the crochet bind off, which eats up the yarn! The flowers of Haruni will soon be adorning my friend's shoulders.
Knitting with this glorious red has my fingers itch for more! Truth be told, I have the lace projects lined up as far as the eye can see. While lace is a good companion, and I believe creating holes is a nice thing to do, delusions of grandeur may be returning. I'd love to hear what shawl has recently captured your imagination. Are you knitting lace, too?

love your red Haruni--I am doing a red lace Kiri, and a purple lace and cable Morganna by Megheen Ryan at the moment!

The trick is to WILL yourself to have enough yarn.

Oh My Goodness, you are tempting me even more and I already was sorely tempted. Last month, when the weather was still fairly chilly, I decided to finally finish my Norwegian sweater from Poetry in Stitches. And I enjoyed doing a few rows every evening (almost 400 sts per row). But now, when the weather is absolutely glorious, I am itching to make something lacey. Sharon Miller's Angela Wrap, to be precise. What to do? Plod on with my sweater? Or give in to lace?
Lovely to see your Haruni growing.

Your Haruni is beautiful! The lace shawl must be in the air. Last week at the knitting table at my LYS everyone was on a new lace shawl. My WIP is close to mindless- the Gaia Shoulder Warmer (mindless AND Noro, what could be bad)

Wow! You cranked that shawl right out! I absolutely love the color...it's so vibrant and pretty. Your friend is going to love it!
