But, you're only getting 5 today, with five each subsequent Saturday for the rest of November.
Does anyone remember when bloggers did memes (all the time)? Is everyone auntie meme? I never think to do a meme or rarely see one. This isn't a meme (unless you want to copy it), it's just between Carole and me(me). In case you're new to this, meme is pronounced like dream.
1. I've been listening to books on my iPod for the last several years but,I've decided to read a "real" book during my lunch break. Since I only have 30 minutes it takes about a month to finish a book. The book of choice this month is "The Sea" by John Banville and I recommend it highly. The writing is amazing, the characters slowly revealed, and the story unfolds like a mystery. (This is a reread, and a rediscovery, of a book that was "lost" in the bookcase.)
2. Susan and I considered NaKniSweMo this year but, I think we're both still a little burned out from last years NaKniSweMoDo. If you don't know what I'm talking about you can use Google. Isn't it enough that I'm doing NaBloPoMo?
3. My closet has been cleaned of all unused, and unwanted, clothing. Only a few shoes, a few t-shirts and pants remain. Everything has space around it. I love it, as it's very easy to find what it is I need for the day. Simplicity in the closet is the only way to go! My wardrobe is simple, in any case (a function of age), and I love that, too.
4. My biggest addiction is bags. Small bags, knitting bags, handbags, plastic bags, wool bags, cotton bags, canvas bags, small bags inside of bags, you name it, I own it. Even with a good cleaning out, I own more bags than I own shoes, shirts or pants compbined. I still own more handknit socks, more yarn, and more jewelry, than I own bags, however. The jewelry needs a good cleaning out out, too.
5. I am in posession of another gift card (work has been insanely busy!) and I'm trying to decide which yarn I want to buy. A trip the the yarn shop is in my (near) future.

So nice to see you posting so often. :) I'm in need of a big de-cluttering myself, and am looking forward to the first of the year, when I shall be retired and my days will (mostly) be scheduled by ME(me). ;)

I don't think I knew about your bag obsession. I mostly collect L.L. Bean bags.

I'm relatively new to audio books (thanks to your blog!) and love listening to them on my lunch time walks. I really should weed my closet, but when I try, the "What If" monster joins me :-)
Nice to "see" you so often.

Oh my goodness with the bag addiction -- for me, it is right up there with the kitchen chairs and stoneware bowls. I love choosing the right bag (or bowl) for a given purpose!
And thank you for mentioning your closet -- 'tis that time of year and today's the perfect day!!

I keep getting the 'goodreads' on what you've been reading and I'm so very impressed! Reading just before falling asleep at night, takes me forevah to get through just one book.
That closet and tossing out thing, it's on my 'gotta do!' list.
Happy Weekend, Margene!

Hmm...I could maybe join you in this 20 things about me(me)...If I can remember to post only 5 on Saturday.
I LIKE Memes!
When I finally lost all the weight I wanted to lose I cleared out the closets and wow! Space! It's lovely...
(((hugs)))

I have so many bags, but not so many socks - would love to have so many socks. Simplify, simplify, simplify.... it has a very good effect on me. I could sweep out my house once a year and have little regret... until I start trying to find that thing that I know I have SOMEWHERE. I've turned my house upside down looking for UFOs. One is still missing! XOXOXOXOX

This is a fun meme! I'll look forward to reading a little more about you every week.
I'm with you in enjoying a pared-down closet. I won't go back to the smushed closet of my pre- Project 333 days!

Congratulations on the "weeding out" this week! Doesn't it feel good?!! A bit at a time is a good thing.

Honey, a grrl can never have too much jewelry. Or shoes and/or bags.

Lots of bags here, too! I love Baggallini (sp?) bags and confess to owning a few Vera Bradley bags (love the backpack and big totes, hate most of the fabrics...I so could make those things myself!). My favorite bag is a fold-over bucket bag in leather that I found in a tiny walled town in Tuscany last year. What's not to love?!

Did someone say bags?! *twitch twitch*

I like hearing the things that you tell us. Bags! No clothes, but bags!

Congrats on the closet clean out! I know how good that feels!
And I have a lot of bags, too. Must be a knitter thing....

Wow - I love it - simplicity is best. I think you may have inspired me to go clean out my closet. You are a very wise woman.

I LOVE The Sea. I should go back and reread.

I love bags, too! And after spending a whole day of cleaning out closets and drawers and packing two large trash bags with clothes to be donated...I still have too many clothes...
