16. My feet are happiest when wearing Keen shoes and, especially, when accompanied by hand knit socks.

17. Everyone fared well through the bitter cold of Thanksgiving 2010.  The chicken grrls were snuggley ensconced in their coop night and day (too cold to play in the yard!) and I have never been so grateful for long underwear.  I am a bad blogger and didn't think to take a picture of my sister holding Irene (the chicken).  Who knew I'd love chickengrrls so much!?

18. As I healed from surgery, my taste in food changed in major ways. At first I could barely stand seasoning of any sort and then, before the first year was over, cravings for flavors I'd never liked started.  I love lots of heat, garlic, onions, and more complexity and layers of flavor.  Watching the foodnetwork nonstop must have had an impact.

19. Speaking of TV... I love bouncing between the foodnetwork and the weather channel.  One show I like is Survivor, but this season completely sucks. (Nicely put, eh?) My newly organized fiber room will not have a TV, it never had one, and I like it that way.  I'll find an iPod/radio/clock which will fit all my listening moods.  When Smith and I met I didn't own a TV.  I really wouldn't mind living without TV again but, I can't live without Smith.

20.  Blogland is one of my favorite places and I've met many wonderful people here.  Because I've become a bad commenter, a non-commenter in many cases, I've lost contact with many people.  Between changes at work, and my lack of desire to be on-line constantly, I'm not sure I can keep up with everyone.  Hearing from readers, through comments, is very rewarding.  I will try to do better.

YAY! It's the last Saturday and you now know 20 (new) things about me (you may already have known most of them).  I'm looking forward to the end of November and the end of NaBloPoMo.

The Foodnetwork is one of my favorite channels. Ina Garten is so comforting, and I'd follow Bobby Flay anywhere (and I'm a vegetarian!).
It's been very nice to visit both you and Carole seven days a week, and I confess, I will miss my morning visits with the close of November.

Many of the newer boom boxes have an input jack where you can plug in your iPod. You may need to buy a male-male cord to connect them but that's only a few bucks. This will give you a wider choice than just purpose-built iPod docks, which can be overly pricey.

Thank you for the gorgeous photos of *your* mountain differing light and weather. Every one of them was stunning!

I thought about a tv in my newly organized craft room but decided against it. I can always listen to a book on my iPhone or I can watch a dvd on my laptop if I want to pass the time while spinning. I think it's really interesting that your tastes changed after surgery. I wonder if this is a typical experience.

I could definitely live without a tv. . . but it's kind of nice once in a while. (I go days without turning it on, and hardly ever watch anything when it's "on" -- I record and watch when I want to watch.) I just bought some new Keen snowboots. Can't wait to wear 'em, although I don't mind if the snow holds off for a little while. It's been fun learning 20 things about you! :-)

well, I for one am grateful to you for bothering to blog every day this month. I started reading for the knitting and spinning, but I've loved the chickens and the rehab after surgery too. We have a DVR, and set it to record our favorite series. That way, we can watch tv together on our preferred time. Aside from what we record, there isn't a whole lot out there to tempt me. It's all just noise.

Yes Survivor does suck this season. I watch it because my husband watches it (sound familiar?) and some seasons it takes me a while to warm to the characters. It has never taken this long.

And I love my Keen shoes too. But I have gotten so much grief about them from my closest friend that I never wear them any more. She has a thing about feet - thinks hers are too big and wants little feet like mine - so when I wear clompy shoes she can barely stand it. Now I can barely put them on - suddenly I feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. But your photos reminded me that I think they're cute. And they're definitely comfy. I'm gonna go knit myself some socks. (That'll really make her eyes roll! She's not a knitter.) (=
