Wow! There's been some snow up in the mountains here, but right here on the coast nothing so far. Soon enough, though, I expect.

Carole

I'm glad no one was hurt - especially the chickens. Enjoy your day!

Chris

Winter! Ack!! Although I do see a stray snowflake or two in the forecast for Minneapolis this week. Fortunately, I won't be here!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Cheryl S.

We haven't really been able to see the mountains because of all the clouds, but it was sure a wild storm last night. Sadly, I was awoken around 3am by the sound of a drip, drip, drip... which turned out to be water dripping from the skylight in the sauna/closet. Sigh.

Suzy

Millie must have been terrified...but I'm sure she kept her cool...just like the rest of us last night -- sheesh!

Cookie

Beautiful photo!

I'm so glad you're inside while the men are out working hard in the garden.

Katinka

No kidding -- it's cold today. Break out the sweaters!

Manise

Pretty photo- fall in the foreground and winter in the background. Thank God the chickens are okay! Enjoy your time inside. :-)

kate

hiya! right back at you. :)

greater Boston is just starting to hit peak... it'll be pretty up here by the week's end.

Marilyn

Glad everything turned out okay. Our weather is turning here too....

Kym

Your beautiful photo makes me want to snuggle in some handknits! Stay warm. Hope you enjoyed every moment of your day off.

kelly

Ugh, it was certainly a naughty storm, that's for sure. Rainy, windy and all-out blustery. We've been dealing with it in Oregon over the last 2-3 days, and I'm not sorry to see it go! Glad the chickens were safe!

CindyCindy

I believe your storm is heading our way. Good day for knitting and sipping tea. I'm so glad the chickens are alright. That would indeed be a huge concern.

Knitnana

Brrrr! I'm so glad the chickens are okay...enjoy your last hours off and the knitting, especially.
(((hugs)))

Kristin

My goodness! It's blustery here, but that's about it...and I have to say that I'm enjoying the sound of a typical fall night.

Marijke

The way you describe it, I can feel the blustery wind and the cold in the air. Glad the chickens are all right.

Anna

Ugh! I can't stand the wind! Rain I don't mind but the wind I can do without! Poor little chickens...glad to hear they are safe!Though it is good weather for knitting!

Anne

We had some snowshowers around dinnertime last night, but OMG - the WIND! I could do without that. So far today.... quieter...

Elaine

Glad the chick-lets are ok.... and that you are safe and warm.

gayle

Glad you and the chickens weathered the storm. We've had a few flakes in the air, and woke one morning to a light dusting that vanished when the sun hit it. NOT ready for winter yet...

Hillary

Wow, it seems like there's wild weather all over. I'm happy to hear that it wasn't too bad where you are. I hope that you enyoyed your long weekend.

Laurie

Wow! Glad the girls are still cluckingly happy.

Laritza

It's still nice in MD but I am NOT holding my breath! Miss Utah minus the snow :)

jill

We got a light dusting of snow in the mountains and today I walked our dog with rain and ice falling. Welcome fall?

Sarah

Yikes! That is crazy weather! I hope you enjoyed the remains of your weekend and that re-entry was gentle.
