The socks! They're so warm and lovely as they cuddle my toes. Maybe TOO warm.
At first I wasn’t sure about the mohair yarn but, it has a nice sheen and extra warmth, plus it adds to the longevity. The simplicity of stockinette shows off the yarn while Carole’s picot edge lends a little elegance and interest. This is the perfect sock pattern for portable simple knitting.
Pattern: Carole's Picot Socks
Yarn: Apple Laine Apple Butter (discontinued)
Raveled Here
All the wool socks are washed and stowed in the sock drawer. Hopefully they'll be there for a few months.
Bare toes feel much better this time of year! Ahh....

Beautiful!!!! Hopefully, you will not need to wear them for a good long time!

Pretty socks! I have been working on a pair of Carole's picot socks...it is a great pattern to show off self-striping yarns, which mine are! The adds just that little extra.

When the winds blow, you'll love the mohair warmth. Until then, you are sporting some mighty pretty toes! Yay, for sunshine and warmer temps!

Those socks will offer cheery charm and welcome warmth . . . in another season! For now -- let the sun shine in! :-)

I wish I could do bare toes! I keep my feet covered when indoors at all time - mostly so that I can keep them slathered in lotion. If I'm not careful, I end up with super-dry, nasty feet...and sandles are always a big part of that problem.
The socks are lovely...and remind me that I need to get to work on some replacement socks of my own!

Gorgeous! (the toenails, too)
:)
(I don't put my socks away, tho' as the AC is way too cold in my office to do bare toes)
(((hugs)))

Lovely socks and toes too :)

Very cute socks!
I have to laugh thinking of you looking around your neighborhood for rose petals to steal to make Norma's jam! I wish you lived nearby and I could share my yard full of antique variety, fragrant and organic petals, but I hope you find some of your own. Someone in Utah is bound to show up with some for you!
Ah, Summer is finally coming to Seattle too!

Lovely socks, but I'm with you about the bare toes! I'm thinking of knitting some toeless socks so I can stretch sandal season just a wee bit longer (if only in the house...).

Hey, you're knitting again! Yay! I am so far behind on blogs--I think I have like 547 blog posts to read, and that's just in my "favorites" category. I will probably not get caught up.
