Today I can't help but be thankful for the beauty of winter, especially as I'm in my warm car, home or office. The trees iced with snow are breathtakingly beautiful against the hope of blue in the sky.
Without beautiful days like this winter would be unbearable.
Mz Norma sent out an announcement:
Have you been working on a Red Scarf for the OAF? If you have it's time to finish it up and get it in the post ASAP. If haven't started a scarf, but want to join the chorus, you still have time to knit one. Get your needles clacking!

Beautiful landscape. I can smell the frosty air. Last night we had a thunderstorm with torrential rain. No snow in sight, but still dreaming of a white Chrismas.

So pretty but I can feel the cold from here! I've got one scarf done and need to get myself in gear to do another one.

I've got one on the needles and have misplaced the 4th ball of yarn-arg. Off to order more and will cast on another. Pretty photos though I am not ready to see snow here.

Lovely. Blues sky in winter is such a gift.

It's exquisite. Looks ethereal. Belies the raw cold of the season. I am so thankful for so many things this year. So much to be grateful for, even with all the uncertainty (like life isn't that way anyway;-P).

If I had your skies, I think I'd always be knitting something blue! Such an inspiration.

Winter's beauty is such a blessing. I always love the way the world looks coated in snow or ice. I can't wait for winter to start here. The landscape has died back post fall, but winter weather is refusing to come.

Your pictures make me want to get down the volume of Robert Frost and snuggle in front of a good fire. Lovely!

None of that winter wonderland here yet, and it's not looking like I'll get to see Utah in her winter finery this year, darn. Beautiful pictures!

Wow, that looks like a Christmas card. We don't have that here yet. It's been such a strange year, but November has been so glorious I'm not complaining!

Happy Thanksgiving Margene. Trying to take tomorrow off and my laptop was stolen when we were burglarized, so I won't be online till I get back to work on (I hope I hope)Monday.

I so love your mountains. One of these days you will find me on your doorstep. (But you're safe for now: I hate the cold.)
I've made 3 scarves; I'd best block them and send them on their way. I might be able to squeeze in one more.

What great, beautiful winter shots... I think winter definitely has its own beauty, especially when we are able to stay warm enough to enjoy it.

So agree with winter. It has hope of its own. Joy. Energy. Potential. I certainly would not have said that 1000 years ago.
