Thank you for all your good vibes, healthy wishes and support. I am making big progress everyday. It feels good. Smith has been a wonderful caregiver and I am very lucky to have someone willing to help out everyday. He has had to do everything and he's doing a good job of it, too.
The project I've been so excited about is a "healing" sweater. The minute I saw the many ways to wear Pas de Valse on the Twist blog I knew I had to make it. Since the twelve sweaters for this years MoDo were set I thought I'd wait until next year. However, the sweaters for the rest of this year were all worsted weight yarn and after surgery that gauge was just too heavy for me to handle, at least right away.
Because it this was to be my "healing" sweater I wanted it to be red and Kim's gorgeously dyed yarns came to mind. I emailed and asked her about Kashmir and she thought it would be perfect. We both decided "Oh Ruby" was the right choice and in just a few days I had the yarn to start.
Two of my favorite companions this week have been this beautiful, soft and luxurious sweater and my blue iPod.

What a wonderful pattern-yarn-colour combination. That must be a joy to knit.

Great marriage of pattern and yarn and that to-die-for-color! A lovely choice for a healing sweater. I love the wrappy-ness of it.
You are making great progress on the healing front! Keep up the good work. :-)

That sweater will be perfect for you. The color is wonderful and it's even better that it was dyed for you by our dear friend Kim. What's on the ipod? Music or a book?
