I'm doing well, but time at the computer is a little painful so a quick post full of answers to Susan's questions...
6 Siblings...5 sisters, one brother.
My white Honda Accord 1991 was the only car I've ever loved. License plate NDLEPNT
Least favorite month is January...it's looong, with short, cold days and usually has too many days without sun (due to the inversions).
My favorite song changes day to day, that's true, but one of my very favorites is Visions of Johanna by Bob Dylan. I love Dylan, period. White Room was on a list of songs from the year I graduated high school. Cream is still a favorite group and back in 1968 I loved White Room (still do).My iPod is a Blue Nano. It saved my sanity while in the hospital.
I have been to NYSW twice and had hoped to make it back this year. How grateful am I hadn't followed through. Hopefully I'll make it again in the next couple of years.

I'm so glad you felt up to enough computer time to share the answers.
xo

hi margene!!!!!!!
best wishes, i've been thinking of you :-)
Posted by: vanessa | September 23, 2009 at 05:25 AM
Good to see you back, Margene. I agree that iPods (or iPhones) save one's sanity in the hospital! I am making it to Rhinebeck for the first time this year, and perhaps next year we can both make it and finally meet one another!
Don't push yourself, and remember after a few good days, there may be a down day. It will come.

Healing is such a patchwork of variables. Do what you can do comfortably. Rest often. Know that prayers said for you daily.

What a beautiful day, the sun's shining and a post from Margene. Please take care and heal first, we want you back for the long haul! (((hugs)))

Rhinebeck will always be there next year, and so will you.

I'm just beyond glad you're home and doing better. Rest, rest, rest. Cheryl said you were knitting, which makes me so happy.
Please let me know if you need anything. I'll email you.

Let's synchronize our NYSW watches... I'm not making it this year, either. So happy to hear from you. Keep on gettin' well over there!! XO
Posted by: Vicki | September 23, 2009 at 07:46 AM
Well at least I got the Rhinebeck question correct! Slow and steady....you'll be back next year!
Posted by: Marcia | September 23, 2009 at 07:49 AM
I'm so glad to know that you're on the mend. I hope to see you at Rhinebeck -- or anywhere, for that matter -- next year. xo!

Don't overdo!
Maybe you should dictate your posts to Smith and have him type them in.

Small doses of computer are good, keep being good to yourself and listen to your body.
Posted by: Rachel | September 23, 2009 at 09:18 AM
I really enjoyed the summary and getting to know you better.
Rest, be well and happy knitting. Make sure you take it easy!

Take it easy. It's so good to have you back even in small doses. I'm finally going to Rhinebeck this year and I'm sorry I won't be meeting you there. I hope that someday, somewhere, we'll meet. Preferably with a fiber backdrop.

now now... please do not overdo.
trying to keep us posted on every single day is too much. We love you and are grateful for the updates - yet I suspect that life might be a bit more stress free if you gave yourself a blog vacation.... or only posted once per week??? (just sayin)
Maybe we can both get to Rhinebeck next year?
stroll on your walks, nap in the sun with the puppies, knit a bit, nap a bit more, sip your tea and stare out the window a bunch. that's the healing recipe for now.
