We can still barely see the sun and blue sky through the haze. Maybe by the end of the week we hope it will be gone. Think snow, please!!
The valley is under that layer of haze/smog/fog/guck, which makes it difficult to leave the beauty of the canyon and drive back into the soup.

I am working. I envy your service project! Does working for the man count as service? No, I thought not!
:)
Wishing for your snow! xo

Ew. Yeah. I don't miss that at all. Even at our house, our neighbor said it's been pretty bad this year and we normally were just high enough to miss the worst of it.

Fingers crossed for snow. I am working, but a service project sounds much more rewarding.

That picture from above really shows the problem. Ugh.
Very cool about the food bank work today!

I hope it clears off soon!

I hate the dirty air but I really hate the snow. That so cool that your work does service.
Have fun!

You can have some of our snow!!
That's a wonderful thing your office is doing. We have a regular day here in Canada.

I hope the inversion passes quickly this year. Your service day sounds wonderfully rewarding.

Wow, that second picture really shows the inversion.
You cheered me up from our dark winter...hope my happy "Good Morning!" can bring a bit of joy to your inversion. I must admit, I've never before heard someone wish for snow as a solution for their weather problems.

Wow, that second photo is amazing. Don't blame you for wanting to stay...

Hope your inversion, what, reverts? What's the opposite of inversion? Anyway, let it snow!
Posted by: Marcia | January 19, 2009 at 08:44 AM
The difference in the air between the two photos is striking.
Enjoy your day.

Inversion is disgusting. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

The inversion up here in Logan is almost as bad. We drove back into the Valley and I thought yuck. Let's hope for Snow in Utah!

I am definitely thinking snow for you!

A drive up the mountain is a wonderful idea. Our gray has been so oppressive. Have a wonderful day at the food bank. What a great way to spend this day!

Prays hard for snow for both of us..Guess it counts that I've moved in with Mom for a few weeks...as doing something nice..lol...Being on dial up..I may not be leaving comments because sometimes it chokes out..but I will be running home to dsl a few days a week for a few hours.
Be safe!!

They are talking about rain here later in the week. Should turn into snow for you.

Wow NOW I can see the inversion in the photo!!!!! Eek.
I love a workplace that has a service day like that. Awesome. Hope it was a great day, and I hope you're feeling well and strong. I remember LAST January for you.... XO

Our inversion seems to have lifted today, though the fog was thick and freezing in spots last night. I just had to lower my shades halfway so I could see my monitor in the glare of the sun. The cats are basking. Hope yours also lifts very soon.

Huh. That's really something!
We had a regular work day, but what a wonderful idea to turn it into a service day!
