I spent the whole weekend hanging out with grrlfriends. That means there isn't much time to blog. Saturday we hung out in the needlepoint shop and knit all afternoon. Sunday it was nice to have a few friends over for tea and spend time chatting, laughing and knitting. Since I spent the last two days having fun, there is now laundry and other household chores to do. That's why weekends go so quickly! Two days just isn't time to do everything I want to do!

Weekends should be 3 days long!

Such fun! Two days is never enough. I vote for early retirement. *sigh*

That's exactly why I work a 4-day week. And sometimes three days isn't enough either, but it is much better than two. Maybe we just have too much to do?

Hiya, GRRRRRLS! I recognize the scene with great fondness! XO

I'd have liked to have been there Sunday afternoon!

I'm quite a fan of the '7-day weekend'..early retirement rocks!!

Sometimes I think it's much better to DO the knitting than to WRITE about the knitting! Good for you!

How about a 2-day work week and then 5 days off? I could totally get into that.

Those are the best kinds of weekends.

That's the trouble with weekends... too short. But that's what makes them precious, too. I spent mine squarely in the middle of my fiber-crafting zone. (Pun intended.)

No kidding!! Glad you had a fun grrly weekend, though, and the sacrifice is surely worth it!!

Blogging, laundry and chores will get done eventually. Hanging out with friends is a better way to spend your time on the weekend.

I'm envious. I've been having quite the time trying to schedule a weekend knitting day with my girlfriends!

Friends are much harder to come by...screw the laundry! Although I must agree that I never get half of what I plan done on any given weekend!

Nice. The laundry will get done - time with friends is much more important!

Very nurturing!

I think we knitters should each have a playhouse with our yarn stash and wheels, complete with a hot water source for tea, a funky teapot and teacups for fibery tea parties.

I work a four day week. And you'd be surprised how quickly the three days off go! Face it, I just need to retire. When I can, financially, of course. And I'm afraid that then I'll still wish I had more time.

I hope the memories of your weekend keep you warm this week.

Two days is never enough! But at least you used it well.

Looks just perfect! What teas were you all drinking?

Friendship - time well spent! Do it again because in the end, that's what counts.
