Some people have roosters, we have the mallards that live on the lake and their white goose. I've given up on getting them to sleep in. (Retired folk here, give us a break!)

Just wondering -- do the geese like the salt water? Happy Saturday to you!
I'm going to be planting the garlic and knitting. Maybe only knitting. I slept in and how did it get to be almost 11:00 already???!

The geese know the season! I saw flocks of them perched by lakes & ponds as I came back from Chicago on the train last week, even though it happened to be unseasonably hot and humid. I haven't seen or heard many overheard, but soon. Sounds of fall! And great pictures.

A nice reminder of what a blue sky might look like, were it ever to stop raining.

I remember blue sky...I spent the day slogging through a very wet, muddy fair, though, feeling up Cotswold sheep and coming home with 1.75 pounds of dark steel gray Shetland roving, so not all was dreary.

What a great shot of the geese! I have been hearing them this past week, definite sign of fall.
