And So, I'm Lazing into the Weekend...

Hazymorningafterfire

  • I've been ready for the weekend since Wednesday.
  • Not very Zen of me, but I have been able to cope with the last two days anyway.
  • The picture is of the smoky hazy sunrise from a couple of days ago.
  • A big fire raged on a nearby mountain for a day or two.
  • The fire isn't out, but it is smaller and doesn't produced the large amount of smoke it once did.
  • We've been lucky this summer where fires are concerned.
  • And our weather hasn't been too hard to handle, either.
  • This weekend is the proverbial end of summer.
  • Everyone is asking where the summer went, why do summers go by so quickly and winters drag on and on.
  • And yet, it is not winter and fall has not even arrived.
  • At this point in time the end of summer is a state of mind.
  • There are still days of beautiful weather ahead.
  • They are to be enjoyed to the fullest.
  • I intend to do so.
  • Few plans have been made for the weekend.
  • The few in place include friends, good food (and drink), time to knit and time to relax.
  • Once again, I am in the throws of a finishing flurry.
  • There will be a whole new bunch of WIPS by next week.
  • And, even better, a nice pile of finished goods.
  • Enjoy your weekend.
  • Go outdoors.
  • You'll be stuck inside soon enough.
  • Have a fabulous Holiday!

Have a great weekend, Margene!

"And yet, it is not winter and fall hasn't even arrived." That is amazing wisdom. Live now.

Have a 'phun' and safe weekend!

It's the start of school that makes it feel like summer is over but you're right - it's not! I hope to be outside a LOT this weekend, starting with Hannah's Sweet Sixteen party tonight which is, in fact, outside - in our backyard.

It must be bullet point Friday! Good thoughts, one and all, grrrrl. You have a relaxing, restful and rejuvenating weekend yourself. I do so love me an alliteration. I cannot wait to see all the wonderful projects completed and what you have decided to do next. Take care!!

Happy Labor Day, Margene (and Smith)! We have a double celebration here with the Old Man's 70th birthday tomorrow. There will be cake!

Happy Weekend!
(((hugs)))

I've been loving the weather lately as we ease into fall -- my favorite season!

Aw, you too!

You've been very wise all week. :)

Head south when you get sick of winter and you'll understand why I hate summer and wish for any other season all the time. My favorite thing about fall is that is Isn't. Summer. Any. More.

Cool, I look forward to seeing the FOs!

I have to work this weekend (sob!) so you do some extra relaxing for me, ok? :-)

THANK YOU for pointing that out - I'm so tired of people seeing that half full glass of summer's demise, when it should be nice here through October! Sometimes even Thanksgiving isn't too bad!

Have a great weekend!

I do tend to look ahead when I could just enjoy the moment. But, dang, school starts next week, and I will (ya-ta-ta) be so sad (shuffle, soft shoe) not to have (clicks heels) the kids at home all day.

Happy weekend!

Hooray for long weekends to enjoy!

It was 103F/40C yesterday. More of the same for today. Summer isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Have a lovely long weekend, Margene!

xo

Yes, around here September is usually quite nice. October and November, all bets are off!'
Your sky is beautiful even though it is smoke causing the beauty!
Have a relaxing weekend. I'm planning on enjoying every minute
xoxo

I am looking forward to the weekend, too. Three days! I just hope Paul doesn't have to work any of them.

What a great set of tips! Amazing how you have these rounds of lots of finishing all at once:) Enjoy the great summer weekend.

hope you have a fabulous weekend too - sounds like the combo of friends, food, drink and knit will make that a guaranteed thing ;-)

My weekend is about as different as yours as possible! WIPs next week? I'm working this weekend (and loving it -- must go do the billing now, mwahaha) and have a daughter home, and have to cook and do a bunch of gardening and -- eek --

so much to do!!!!
