Last Sunday was a glorious day in the mountains. Although not visible with the eye of a camera, this mountain was dotted with climbers. We were able to find at least 6 people scaling the rock walls. One was moving so quickly towards the top I wondered if he/she would continue on into the blue sky.
I thought I could see one, but when I biggened the picture.....nope. Rock outcrop! Never could understand what drives people to climb rocks.

My hat's off to anyone who can do that. Myself, I've got too great an aversion to heights to sling myself out over any sort of drop off. (How I did Angel's Landing in Zion in 2002 is still beyond me.)

Beautiful blue sky. Nothing like the mountains as a backdrop.

I am always amazed at those mountain climbers. I have seen some come over the edge of mountains in New Hampshire when I was standing up there and it's a bit freaky! They are brave and/or stupid. :D
Loving your mountain. And sky, needless to say.

incredible. My daughter has done some rock climbing, but I suspect I dislike heights too much to try it myself. gorgeous photo

I'm sure that's WAAAAAAay bigger than it looks in this picture. I always love hiking and a little climbing but the rocks are always so unstable that once I get on them I'm usually sorry! Beautiful Saturday Sky photo! :)

At first, I thought I saw the people, then realized they are trees ;-) Love the mountain shots and the Friday flowers!

You know, I had a kind of stressful weekend, and your post was just what I needed today - a simple reminder of joy and beauty in the world. Thank You!

Makes me a trifle nostalgic...though I only have done simple climbing. I am ready to get out and hike, but kinda think my hands are past being able to do that sort of thing any more... it's more important to spin and knit. Great Sat. Sky!!
