....whatever you want to call it, this is all you get. Dogwood flowers for Kim, uncommon in Utah, but oh so beautiful.
Fiber Festival
Good friends, spindles, fiber fix
Draws us from afar
Have a super wonderful weekend.

Oh, how I LOVE dogwood. They're not hardy enough for here, so thank you for the photo.

Wonderful photo! I have a pink Kousa dogwood called Satomi Pink or Stellar Pink I think. It blooms later than the Cornus florida the earlier blooming one that has been affected by the pear thrip and is disease resisitant. The birds love the fruit it produces later in the season.

That's a spectacular dogwood photo. I sure wish they stayed in bloom all year. Sigh. Have a great weekend.

Have fun during your warm weekend (maybe it will get to the Midwest eventually!), getting in touch with the fiber and friends!
The dogwood's beautiful, I just saw some visiting the Pacific Northwest; it's so exotic to me!

I only get really nostalgic about two of the plants I grew up with in the deep South. The first is the dogwoods, and the second is (farmers, go ahead and start cursing me now) the kudzu. I was so happy this year to see them both while driving cross country.

Oh the pink dogwood. Mr. W across the street has one and we stopped to admire it while taking a walk a few weeks ago. I showed it to Emeline and Lila Pearl and said "this is called Pink Dogwood" as if they care. lol Hopefully if they hear it enough times over the years they'll be telling me one day. :)
Have a Beautiful weekend at the fiber festival! Can't wait to see the pictures when you get back! XOXOX

Have fun this weekend at the fiber festival. We have lot's of dogwood here since it's the state flower, in fact I have one in my yard but most of them are white. I like the pink ones much better.

Thanks for posting the bee-yooouu-ti-full pink dogwoods... one of my favorite springtime displays. Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing time at Snake River, and look forward to seeing photos next week!

They don't grow well in Utah? I have one in my front yard and it likes Boston winters just fine (though it did lose one branch this year.)
Take some good pix for us at the fiber festival, ok? :-) And have a wonderful time! Indulge in some cashmere. ;-)

Fabulous! Pink dogwoods are my favorite. BTW, did I already ask if you are going to Estes Park this year? If not, are you? If so, what did you say? (my mind, obviously, is gone.)

Have a great weekend, even though you will be reading this after you are all funned out anyway. I was thinking of calling you, but now I'll have to wait. Let me know when a good time will be.

A picture is enough, especially one this beautiful. I've always loved the dogwood tree for it's blossoms and the way the branches are "layered".

Beautiful picture! Hope your enjoying your weekend.

Beautiful picture! I love dogwood - so exotic. We had several trees when we lived on Vancouver Island - I think our climate here in the mountains just misses them.
