Serependious indeed!

Actually the funniest thing happened yesterday! I got a gift of yarn in the mail... of yarn I'd wanted for six months. Named serependity, no less, by chewy spaghetti. The serependity part? Was when it turned out to be teal and browns! And matched my teal velvet jacket! It's so funny, because for six months I thought it was blue and brown (I know I know.) But it's better this way! Go figure.

Oh - shoes are supposed to "go with" something in our wardrobes? Who knew! I'd have bought those just cuz they were so darn cute too!

Carole

Your new shoes and jacket are a perfect match and the color will be wonderful on you. Love the idea of those socks, too.
Nothing too serendipitous around here these days.

Carol

Fantastic! We have to treat ourselves once in while when we fall in love. Especially with shoes;) The only serendipitous thing to happen to me was the cat and dog provided coordinating messes on the floor, you really don't want to know...

Kim

Oh man.........that jacket is perfect and the yarns are almost too yummy for words!

Cheryl S.

What fabulous colors! The shoes and jacket look like they were made for each other.

Stitch-n-Snitch

Wow, triple serendipity, you lucky duckie! :)

Marcia Cooke

Oh, that is WAY beyond serendipity! That is downright freaky. But in a good way! Love the shoes and the jacket!

Vicki

Oh, what cute, cute shoes! Wonderful finds!!

Kathy

Oh, I just LOVE those shoes. And the jacket is pretty groovy too. The brown and red will look great -- I'm into that combo these days too.

Jan

That jacket/shoe combo was meant to be!

Wool Winder

It always feels serendipitous to me when I figure out what to knit with my handspun, because I rarely have anything in mind when I spin it.

Lizzy B

Wow! What a perfect match! Such fun shoes too. When do we get to see a model shot? ;) The yarn is gorgeous and your painted desert yarn is shaping up to be stunning too!

Birdsong

Yes! I decided a couple of weeks ago to finally stop at a local jewelers' that does a lot of repair on vintage pieces and drop off a 1920-era carnelian ring I have had for a decade to get the prongs tightened, etc. While I was looking around, I came upon a perfect match - a pair of carnelian teardrop earrings in the half-off case! I love the new outfit:)

Kathleen

Love those shoes. I bought some new Merrell's for my trip and they broke the very first day in Paris. :( We had a quick repair at a tailor but I am shipping them off for a replacement today. Wear 'em well and create some cute socks to match. Lovely new spinning, btw! Laurie's handspun looks so great too1

Chris

I love serendipity - and you had quite a run there! I don't think I'm getting out enough to run into serendipity right now. :)

Bonne Marie

That combo is DEE-lish!

Really perfect matching between the color and detailing—so very thrilling to find it together :)

Hillary

Those shoes really do match the jacket perfectly. Nothing too serendipitous around here lately.

Heather Joins The Round

Love the shoes, and I can't believe you found the matching jacket!

nova

Perfect shoes, Margene! I almost used Serendipity as a title to my post yesterday! When I got lost over the weekend and stopped at a neighborhood tag sale for directions, I never expected find anything fun, but some guy gave me a slide for Little Sir (because he liked my smile!) and I was able to find the cutest desk for $2. The best end result to being lost EVER!

CindyCindy

Oh, I just love the jacket and shoes. And your roving is perfect for a shawl. Serious serendipity here.

regina

Those shoes are just divine! Love, love, love them.

Arianne

They're beautiful shoes and jacket! I LOVE them!
They match perfectly!

Jane

Oh, my, all those colors are so beautiful. Perfect for autumn.

knitnana

WOW! LOVE those colors, can't wait to see the shawl!
And yes, I found a new copy of IK Winter 2005 at Knit Happens in DC over the weekend - had decided on Thursday that I should ask for it at Knit Night. Lots had it but not for sale, just "for loan" and since I really wanted my own, I said, "Thanks, but no thanks." Didn't really want to pay the postage on a back issue at IK, so...
And there it was - LOOKING at me from the table at Knit Happens! Wow!
Truly Serendipity!
(((hugs)))
