I Need a Rest from My Weekend

When your weekend is full to the max and you run as fast as you can to keep up with it all, little knitting is accomplished.  The views command you keep an eye out the window so that there is proper ooohing and aaahing.  No matter how many times one makes a visit to the mountains they continue to inspire with their ever changing beauty and majesty. Since I'm tired to a frazzle here is the weekend in pictures.

Beautiful pictures! And that is quite the moose!

Such gorgeous sights! Truly, you're lucky.

Oh wow! How fortunate you are to live in such a gorgeous place! After reading your blog, Utah is definitely on the list of places to see!

Looks like you had a beautiful weekend! Hope you are able to get some rest.

These photos are just the thing to get me even MORE excited about my upcoming trip out there! Can you please tell the moose to be available that weekend?

So gorgeous. You always have the best weekends, and mine was pretty good.

The pictures do say it all. That MOOSE. My gawd.

That's one crazy spider-shaped stump. I'm not sure I'd have sat on it! ***grin***

Looks love a lovely weekend, Margene. Picture perfect.

Those shots make me start dreaming of our next trip to Utah....not the weekend of Great Basin, for sure, though. We just found out that the Utah crowd is coming to visit US! (And look for a little package today!)

Neat photos! Cool mushroom, *wow* to the moose, neat stump...

Oh my, I am in love. I haven't gotten a dose of the west this year.

What a beautiful place!

I love it! So glad you got out and enjoyed the mountains while summer still (temporarily) reigns. I am envious of all the moose sightings... one day...

Fabulous pictures, thanks!!!

So gorgeous! I never tire of our mountains either.

Love the pictures! No wonder you're tired to a frazzle. Looks like you didn't sit still all weekend. However, that's the kind of tired that's refreshing to the soul.

Ahhh, I'm not believing that. You actually saw a moose--not only one but four!!!!! I guess I just haven't been at the right place at the right time. After all my trips up north, across Canada from one coast to the other --driving backroads and all-- through all the northwestern, mid-western, and northeast states---I have yet to see a live moose!!!!!! I do envy you. I was beginning to believe they don't exist!!! ;)

Wow, you certainly had a beautiful weekend!

I love Moose I'm so jealous.

Moosie!

Very neat!

if it's more than one moose, is it meeses? sounds like a lovely trip, even if it went by too fast.

I need a rest just looking at the photos!

Is that a chanterelle???
Looks like a fabulous time, Margene!
(((hugs)))

Beautiful as always! And going to the mountains was very wise this weekend, since it was so blasted hot. Someone tell Mother Nature that it's September, for crying out loud!

It sounds like a beautiful weekend! I worked through the whole weekend, and now get one day off on Tuesday. (It was an unusual situation.) I do get to cast on a new sock project later today, though.... YAY!
It's going to be Nancy Bush's Gentleman's Fancy Sock.

Rest up. We'll wait...

Blessings!

the moose! wow.

Ahhhh - lovely!

Love the moose! How close were you, do you think? I need a rest from the weekend too. How does that happen, anyway?

EXCELLENT Moose picture!!! We have a lot of moose up here too, but you don't usually see the males, only the cow's and their young ones.

Holy moley! Check out the SIZE of that moose! I'd be a little scared to run into him, I think.

With beautiful sights like that filling my weekend I'd be sad to see it end too!

Mooooose!

Great pictures; thanks for sharing :-)

that little picture in the middle on the bottom? totally looks like a spider. yuck. however, the mushroom makes me want to knit lace

That's gorgeous! What fun!

I know you need to rest from such a weekend, but your pictures are refreshing for me today. Thanks.

Wow! I can't get over the size of that moose! He's HUGE!

I love how you take such wonderful advantage of the beautiful scenery around here. I spend my weekends inside getting things like laundry and home repairs done.

Beautiful!

What great pictures, and a moose, too. I am envious. I saw a moose once in VT. I was getting back on the highway from a rest stop and saw cars on the side of the road up ahead. As I was getting up to speed, I glanced over and there was a moose in the gulley. It was over too quick for me to do more than realize what it was.

I am in CT and have seen a lot of deer this summer. A few weeks ago I stopped to make sure a deer on the right didn't dart back out and looked out my drivers side window to find a baby standing right by my car. I wish I had my camera with me. It was the cutest little thing and ended up going behind my car to catch up to the other one.

No wonder you're plumb tuckered out grrl! Go put your feet up and have a cup of tea.

Looks like a wonderful time. It is so pretty there. The weekend was way too short for me too and we didn't even do anything.

Your moose makes my deer look so tiny;) We have such similar and very different photos up today. How different Oregon wilderness looks from Utah--both so beautiful!!

Beautiful pictures! What a perfect weekend.
