Saturday Sky - Late Edition
It's HOT! Officially it didn't get to the predicted 102 (thank goddess!), but at our place it's 100. We're heading up to cool off. at our favorite spot and then a walk around Silver Lake.

Yikes! But... is it a dry heat?! I'm in humidity shock, being back in MN.

Yes, it's stinkin' hot. I walked up Millcreek Canyon this morning (past the boy scout camp) and thought I was going to be sick from the heat.

You don't want to KNOW what our weather has been in the NE! Abso-freaking-lutely perfect! Cool (68-70), dry, breezy, clear blue sky. And what did I do? Between baking bread and carding my black Corriedale, I spent most of the day indoors. We are supposed to heat up this week, though.

The mountains are so pretty. Hope you had a great time and tried to stay cool.

100? That's insane. I hope it's not a harbinger of things to come.
Can people jump in Silver Lake to cool down, or is that frowned upon?

I know what you mean, Chris. I'm in MN as well, and about melted when I stepped outside to go to an animal adoption event. It was supposedly only 75F outside, but sticky, sticky, sticky. Blech!
Claudia, the picture is lovely. I'm envious of the view, but not the 100 temp. In my perfect world, I would live somewhere that air conditioning was never needed. *sigh*

Yikes, that IS hot!! I never think of it being that hot by you, what with the mountains and all--silly, huh? Hope you're keeping cool!

So that's where my summer temps went. I've been wondering. Please feel free to keep them all summer, sweetie. Only the best for you and Joho.

It was beautiful way up Millcreek canyon this morning (we went to the Terraces - much higher than where Susan was). And tomorrow afternoon we'll be at Silver Fork drinking wine...

The photo makes me think (or is it my monitor?) that those mountains are almost shimmering in the heat?
We had our heat wave a couple weeks ago...with HUMIDITY! WAY too early in the year for that!
Stay cool...
(((hugs)))

That's hotter than here. It's been raining, so the temps have been in the high 80s, low 90s. At least you have a place to go where it's cooler. Once it's hot here, there's no escaping it. Enjoy!

Keep your coolies cool, babe!

What a lovely view!! Hope you've been keeping cool!

You seem to be having some crazy weather this year! I hope you are finding fun ways of staying cool.
I have spent the last week completely in temperature and humidity controlled environments. I feel completely out of touch with real weather.

Beautiful Picture! Stay cool!

Hey! Is that one of my roses over there? Wow how cool! It's a good thing you got a picture of the lily, because it's blown already in the heat.

Yug. You sent it our way. This past weekend was delightful, but the start of this week promises to be heat hell.

Yikes, it was hot here too this past weekend. I hope the mountains helped to cool you off.
