Oh My, Oh My, Oh My, OH MY!!
A box, heavy and largish, was sitting on my door step yesterday. I thought it might be from my Bloomin' Socks pal, but it was so big and heavy! There was no doubt when I opened it up and saw this right on top...flower bulbs and a floral fabric bag. It had to be from a bloomin' great, Bloomin' pal. I took the box out to the garden of Zen and looked through it carefully and slowly.
The first thing I picked up was the floral bag (from Café Crafty ) and as I opened it I realized THE socks must be inside, so I decided to look at everything else first, and then come back to the socks. Anticipation keeps the excitement going. The next thing I picked up was the skein yarn, a lovely yarn in warm and and rich shades of gray and brown. It is from Celia's Etsy Shop and the color is Owl (Trek, are you envious!?)
My pal bought several nice gifts from her local garden store (what a lovely idea!)...a hanging candle holder, with beeswax tea lights (it will hang in the Zen garden), lotion and soap that should help keep my hands soft during the dry summer, an organic tea (yum) and a beautiful candle which will make dinner on the patio even more romantic. Can you believe all the chocolate!? A years worth of chocolate and caramel (from 'A Little Flower Candy Co.)...well, the caramels won't last a year (they're already half gone). There is so much chocolate and it is all such GOOD chocolate!
Oh, you want to know who sent all of this bounty? I admit to be completely surprised! It's all from CYNTHIA!! You have spoiled me rotten, Cynthia.
Oh the socks!? You want to see the socks? Aren't they beautiful!? Look at the color. Look at the stitch pattern! The yarn is hand dyed Island Hues by Judy Maclean (from Vancouver Island, BC), distributed by Fun Knits Yarn Shop, and the pattern is Traveling Vine from More Sensational Socks.
Oh, you want to see them on my feet, see if they fit!? OF COURSE they do!
Perfectly...
Thank you, thank you, Cynthia. They make my heart bloom with happiness.
Thank you, Amanda, for a wonderful experience .

The socks are gorgeous! I had Cynthia send me a box of goodies in a swap once and she is beyond generous. Lucky you!
