The Grrl Knows How to Party!
What happens in SLC, stays in SLC.
Kim had a fabulous time in the 'big city'. Meet Joe...the man of her day dreams. Kim knows how to pick 'em as this boy fixes a mean martini (or three)...just sayin'.
There as a bad case of camnesia all weekend, so there is little evidence that a good time was had by all. (Maybe that's a good thing.)
Everyone of us had a grand time. There was lunch with Susan, shopping at Three Wishes, martinis and dinner at Canella’s (see above picture), walking, talking and tons of spinning, too. Bailey and Moxie had a difficult relationship. Moxie was a bit mift at the competition, but they finally did play a bit of dog-o-war just before Kim headed back North. Smith and I miss them both, but Moxie is just relieved
Kim made this darling felted bag and I'm the happy recipient! I love the colors and the little flower is such a happy embellishment. Kim is very creative in many craft mediums and it was fun her hear about all her great ideas (she executes them, too). She has the passion and you can feel it! She's a delightful house guest. Thank you, Kim for making the trip!!
The spinning wheels were set up in the living room and we spun late into the evening. I was able to finish up Kate’s Violette's Dream BFL Friday night and ply it (2 ply) the next morning. Kate's colors have so much depth and it's fun to watch how they mix and play together. It turned out beautifully and I"m very pleased!
Just so you understand...no knitting what.so.ever occured this weekend. It was all about having talking, laughing and spinning to our hearts content! It was a grand time. Come back soon grrlfriend!

Looks that you all had a great time. Felted bag is so cute and the violet dreams is very pretty!

Sounds like a fabulous weekend. I'd be jealous except that I'll be seeing you myself in just a few months.

Those are the best kinds of weekends, aren't they! The weather looks fabulous there!

Kim looks marvelous! So glad you had a wonderful weekend. Sorry the boyz didn't get along too well. We have that with Vincent, too. He's very territorial. The little bag is SWEET. She is SO creative, isn't she?

Wow! The violet yarn! SO gorgeous. And "camnesia" may be my new favorite word. :)

What fun!! Did I miss y'all around 10:30 at Three Wishes on Saturday? I ran in there to replace my swift with a heavier-duty one. Maybe you were sleeping off the "tinis" still.....

Those colors are beautiful together.
Glad to hear you guys had such a great time.

I really love that bag! It's perfect with the bar and flower.

Ah, Joe...hehehee. You're a nut.
I'm sorry that Moxie didn't deal with Bailey very well---especially since he just LOVED Moxie! It was pretty cute last night, getting home--Bailey jumped around Woody's cage and acted very glad to be home.
We had such a wonderful time--thank you for opening your heart and your home to us, my friend.
xoxo

Sounds like a good time was had by all, including the dogs, they just can't admit it.
The violet BFL is yummy. Can't wait to see what it becomes.

Friends shouldn't let friends spin drunk. Although it seems to have worked!

Beautiful colors in your spinning!

What a fun time you two must have had. I met Kim ever so briefly a couple years ago, and she is delightful! It always seems like there's so little time to 'visit' when I see people at fiber fairs - how fun that you two had a whole weekend.
That yarn is vivid and gorgeous.

You can just SEE how soft that BFL is! Gorgeous colors, too!
I'm glad camnesia didn't strike until after you got a picture of Joe - what a cutie!

Fiber and friends, what could be better? Great job on spinning and plying the BFL.

Yarn IS a finished item! Why would you want to knit?.....you can always weave it :D
