Utah has the motto 'Greatest Snow on Earth' and it is true because of the dry climate. Our snow usually has little water content and creates an awesome powder that is soft and delightful to skiers and boarders. So, when the socks went dancing in the snow at 9,000', they barely got wet.
Prove It All Night socks playing in the pooowwdderrrrrful snow of Utah.
Both the sock yarn, Socks That Rock, and the pattern, Fancy Silk Socks, are fabulous. The yarn knits as smooth as silk and the pattern was fun, entertaining and beautiful. The fit and feel are fabulous.
Thank you Cara! I will enjoy wearing this pair of socks and will rock on when I do!!
Pattern: Fancy Silk Sock by Nancy Bush, from Knitting Vintage Socks
Yarn: Socks That Rock in Prove It All Night colorway dyed especially for Cara.
Time to knit: 1-9-06 – 1-31-06
Changes: Purl stitch Star toe instead of a Kitchener side decrease toe.
A shout out to my sister, Neena! Today is her birthday. There is no doubt that she'll be celebrating in style. Have a good one, sis!!

Ooh, that colorway is gorgeous! I think me needs some.

Great socks and photo. It's very humid here, so when it does snow (last real snow, 1989), it's very full of water.

Oh Margene - they ARE beautiful! I've been a little scared to see the colorway knit up - you know - would it look as good in real life as it does in my mind, but it DOES! It really does! Thank you so much. I'm so glad you love the socks.

Beautiful yarn and sock pattern. And I have that book too, since you inspired me to buy it several months ago. I haven't made anything out of it yet - but maybe I will. Chelle
