Comments

Kathleen

Margene that pile isn't so bad. But good for you for facing up to it and prioritizing. :)

Jackie

That pile looks like a whole lotta fun to me!

Norma

Ayuh.....my WIPs look like that. However, odds are very good that yours will be completed, and you'll be in the next generation of WIPs before I even get to mine. Hopefully starting Chamomile today in the car, though! (but my hands and forearms are killing me...waaaaa!)

mrspilkington

that is hilarious -- i have a photograph almost EXACTLY like that that i was going to post. i'm with jackie -- it looks like fun! :-) have a wonderful weekend.

Beth

That doesn't seem like so many things to me. Oh but wait, you're not including stuff on extended hold - like Lotus... ;)

BTW, I have my button - although I might be a teensy bit bitter.

Mary Beth

I don't have so many things started, but I have them all swimming around in my head and it is driving me nuts!

Liz

I think it shows diversity. Diversity is good.

No button for me, since I am going to MD Sheep and Wool. I only live a half hour away! :)

Teri

Looks like #6 on your list to me. :) Just kidding--I know you'll breeze through everything and then been at sixes and sevens until you find more to knit. :)

Miriam

*poke* What about Lotus? Is she languishing? Don't forget her!!!!! ;)

Susan

You call that a pile, grrl! I start that many projects in a weekend. You can pound those out in no time.
Zen, Zen, Zen . . . .

Lois

I call it my Knitter's ADD - I have 3 WIP's and many more Projects I want to start. I'm about to start Rogue for my DD and want to knit a baby sweater for my pregnant DIL, and on and on and on. What is it about us that we are never really happy just doing the project that we're on, but want them all at once. By the way the Eyelet Cardigan is on my soon to be list too! Love your color pink for that one.

Andrea

I call it "pretty". :) However, I do find a lot of WIPs is not good for my mental well being. Good luck with yours. ;)

Kim

I say you come up for the Sheep & Wool Festival up here at Ste. Chapelle.....!!!

Rebekah

I do love that basket. It's very adorable, if only I knew what I would do with it I'd order the pattern, my mind is a reeling.

Your works in progress don't look too horrible. I've seen worse, um, in my pile. Although right now I have many projects in my mind, but they aren't on the needles yet.

Marcia

I just threw out half a sock because it's been "in progress" for so long that I have forgotten what pattern I was using, couldn't find the matching ball of yarn and needed the needles for something else. Yeah.
If it will make you feel better about MSW, by the way, it's so huge it's overwhelming and you probably would be in a coma from deep fried twinkies and wouldn't be able to buy anything, anyway. The food lines are 45 minutes long and the bathroom lines are longer. If the temperature is in the 80's or above (Maryland is not dessert..it's HUMID) you would probably pass out in the buildings which are not airconditioned. (Not one is airconditioned.) Did I mention it's humid? No, you wouldn't have a good time. Now, Rhinebeck...that's one you should be bitter about.

La

I would call that pile o knit "ambitious". But I bet you each and every one of those projects fills a specific void, or serves a very specific and different purpose in your life. I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Liz

It doesn't look too bad. Think of all the time that going to MDS&W would take away from those projects. I'm not bitter, either, and I certainly don't need to go broke on wool. :)

La

Between you and Snowball, I'm all set for Estes...2006. Just gotta make sure that our visit to my brother in Denver just happens to coincide with the Festival...

Tracy

Personally I think it looks like Heaven. They're all gorgeous things. Thanks for the link for those bags, a lovely idea for all those occasions.

Kimi

Whee, lots of projects! I agree with La. It's not chaos, it's ambiciousness, and that's a good thing! And knowing you, you'll have them all done by next week anyhow, and just think what a good time you'll have in the PROCESS! (Since that's what it's all about anyway, right?) Have Fun!

Joan

I love the knitting ADD comment (me me)and I'll see your pile and quadruple it and more. I should be ashamed but I'm not. Well maybe a little. I read your blog first because I see so many similaries in myself. Oooh that's scary! I count my UFO's and keep them in Excel. I can't bring myself to say publically how many that is! And I'm going to MD as I'm only an hour and a half away so no button for me!

Jessica

It does get overwhelming sometimes doesn't it? I try to remind myself that there are no real deadlines and that I'm doing this because I enjoy it. Then, once I stop hyperventilating, I can usually see the project that needs attention most or that I most want to knit. I like to get anything with an *actual* deadline out of the way first.

Susan

I seem to recall a post from last summer (July?) where you mentioned that your WIP's were getting quite aggressive with each other. Please separate these WIP's before someone loses an eye! ;-)

rebecca

good for you for making up your mind as to which project gets your attention! will you come make up my mind? :P

claudia

You know, you can't possibly make every nice sweater pattern you see. That is product, not process.

Also, it is OK to buy nice sweaters too. Which, actually, would be a cost savings.

Again. Just sayin'.
