Prayers from Friends
The best part of coming home after a long day is to be greeted by two loving animals, my Murphy and Moxie, and a special surprise in the mail. This package was in my mailbox and when I saw the name on the return address I almost cried. It was from my new ‘imaginary friend’, as Greta calls all our blog pals. Yes, it was from Greta and the best gift is her friendship and the lovely prayer she wrote inside the card for me. AND, the Kersti , (oh my, she knows my love of Koigu!) is such a pretty color…soft, subtle, and sweet, yet lively with speckles of bright color peaking through here and there. I already know these two skeins will be made into a scarf so I can feel a hug from Greta each time I wear it. Thank you, sweet friend!!
In case you are really interested in the concert Sunday night I’ll give you a bit of a report. We saw Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch with David Rawlins, Patti Griffin and Buddy Miller. The Sweet Harmony Traveling Revue as they call themselves, was formed just for this concert season. The show was wonderful even though we stood in line for 2 hours just to get into the venue. It wasn’t hot so we survived and it didn’t get too cold after sunset either. We didn’t get as close to the stage as we had hoped but found a place from which we could see the stage well. We sang along, enjoyed the crowd and during the encore set watched the full moon crest the hill behind the stage. It was an awesome night.

I'm off to check the Kersti blog....I have to admit that I haven't knit my Kersti raglan since I picked up Rogue. I am still in love with the yarn, just taken with my Rogue right now!
