Secret Pals and Flower Baskets
In the latest Interweave Knits one of the most beautiful projects was the Flower Basket Shawl by Evelyn Clark. In the stash is a beautiful soft gray (grey) alpaca (extra soft) that a friend gave to me several years ago. It should be just the very thing for this project as I've been thinking it should grow up to be a shawl. So, I'm joining Sarah Elizabeth for her Flower Basket Shawl Knit Along. Start time is in late August or early September.

Names are out and we begin. What fun we will have for the next three month. Who, oh who can my Secret Pal be?
AND, it's the last day of the Utah contest. Check previous posts for information on how to join in.
See you Monday with the winner!

Hurray! I got an email from my secret pal last night. I'm so excited!

The shawl will be perfect in alpaca! And the color will go with everything!

That is a gorgeous shawl! And the alpaca you've chosen will be just perfect for it. I can't wait to see how it turns out for you.
I was considering doing it myself later on, but I'm beginning to run out of people to knit shawls for! So, instead it's on my "possible future projects" list.

I have been seriously tempted by that beautiful flower shawl. I didn't know there was a knit-along. May have to dig through the stash....

That yarn will be yummy as the shawl! I love that soft grey colour.
