Prizes
KPixie has generously donated a $75.00 gift voucher to their shop. Carole and I thought this should go to the person who knits the most items over the next two weeks (Nov. 18-Dec. 2, 2006). We would like to see the items posted to your blog by December 2nd. You are on your honor to show what you have completed in this time period. If you don't have a blog we'll show the picture here. Please contact us at knituntoothers at gmail dot com if you have any questions.
Other prizes:
- Susan and Laurie are teaming up. Susan will knit face clothes and soap socks to be filled with Laurie's fragrant soaps.
- Blogless Karen is donating a skein of her fabulous Sleeping Dragon Yarn
- Mim will donate three of her fabulous patterns.
- Teyani has donated a gift from Crown Mountain Fibers
- Scout has some lovely swag to give from her shop Scout's Swag.
- Leslie Wind has generously offered one of her gorgeous shawl pins.
- Pippi will let the 'winner' choose a hank of sock yarn or fiber top (color of your choice).
- Utah Grrl Katherine will donate one of her cool Make One T’s.
- Lisa has 13 balls of Peruvian Highland Wool in Periwinkle to give
- Hand dyed yarn by Lucia
- Kim will make stitch markers (her jewelry is fabulous, too!)

We'll draw names on December 3rd and announce the winners on Monday the 4th.

WOW! That's a lot of prizes! Not why I'm doing this, but sure does make it fun:) Over the weekend I knit 3/4 of a scarf for the Red Scarf Project and started another one because I was too lazy to walk upstairs to wind the second skein of Cascade ;-)

Hey lovely ladies!
I was thinking of offering "winners choice" meaning either a hank of sock yarn, or 6oz of hand painted top (fiber).
In the lucky fibersta's choice of colors (within reson, of course; as I refuse to stock neons.)
XO!

Lovely assortment of prizes! I am amazed at the generosity (not that I should be). Just an FYI: I am disappointed - I went to the Red Scarf project and noted that all the dates were for last year. So I emailed and found that the Red Scarf Project is no longer active.

I started a "Knit Unto Others" group at my church. Our first meeting is this coming Saturday so I don't know how much we'll actually get done by the 2nd. I've already knitted a child's blanket. We're knitting for abused children in San Antonio. The group will be ongoing.

Margene and Carole,
I added the button to my blog, but I'm not sure I did it right - I'm a real newbie! I'm not sure about the "save to your own server" part. If you notice something wrong, could you let me know? Thanks.

I was told I should try to join you all. I've been knitting for "One at a Time Ministries" (they help the homeless in Skid Row, Los Angeles).
If it's too late, no biggie.

I have 2 hats done and a scarf in progress so far. Pics on my blog, scroll down. I also have items that I've been knitting all year but they don't count for this time period. Still I'll have a nice assortment to give this season.

I've got three pair of mittens and a hat thus far, though only one pair of the mittens has been photographed, due to technical failure of my 'puter at home. There has been other knitting for charity, but not during this time period.

Hi! Just found your site. I cast off my red scarf for the RSP yesterday. Finished two hats for Dulaan in the last few days, too. I won't win any prizes for speed, but am finding it very satisfying to Knit For Others. BTW, am a new knitter. How do I block a hat?

I hope I am not too late for signing up. I have several hats done to donate to the local homeless.

Is it too late to officially sign up? The comments on the fyi were closed. I'm either tired or confused...or both!Anyway, a couple of red scarves coming off the needles soon.

I'm participating in this KAL and having a fabulous time! I have already finished five hats for Caps to the Capital and am close to finishing a sixth hat and a scarf for The Red Scarf Project. I am also working on a pair of mittens for From Heart to Hands.
Thank you so much for organizing all of this -- I know how much work it must be.
Oh, and in response to Danielle's 11/20 comment: it looks like The Red Scarf Project is indeed on for this year. http://www.orphan.org/
